Paul Reeves – ausgebildeter Opernsänger, tritt an den größten Opernhäusern
Englands, Irlands und Schottlands auf. Als ergreifender Bass kann auch er auf
zahlreiche Preise zurück blicken und verzaubert sein Publikum u.a. in "Rigoletto",
"Aida" und "La Bohème". Sein Repertoire umfaßt auch klassische Konzerte, in
denen er auf wunderbare Weise Werke von Bach, Haydn und Puccini präsentiert.

 

Paul Reeves - British Bass, Opera & Concert Singer
Paul Reeves studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Rudolf Piernay
and afterwards with Michelle Wegwart. There then followed a year at the National
Opera Studio sponsored by The Richard Lewis Award (Glyndebourne), The Sybil
Tutton Trust and The John Wates Trust. His engagements have included Matthew
in the World Première of The Last Supper (Birtwistle) at the Staatsoper Berlin, a
production repeated at Glyndebourne and on the South Bank in London.

Other roles have included Zuniga Carmen with Tenerife Opera and Opera Holland
Park, Hobson Peter Grimes and Les Noces with Opera North, Dean Babette’s Feast
in the Linbury Theatre, Covent Garden, Die Fiesque Maria di Rohan and Mr Gobineau,
The Medium with Wexford Festival Opera, Somnus Semele, Colline La bohème and
Ceprano Rigoletto with English National Opera, PR Guy TheBirds (Hughes), Roger

He sings regularly in concert, including the World Première of The Water Diviner’s
Tale (Rachel Portman) for the BBC Proms, 2007, Beethoven Choral Symphony and
Verdi Requiem with Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, Mozart Requiem with the
Philharmonia Orchestra, the Verdi Requiem at London’s Royal Albert Hall and A
Christmas Concert with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Paul recently finished a tour with the Israel Camerata of Mozart and Bruckner
Requiems. His recordings include The Shops, now available on NMC CD.
